Business Week published their list of the "40 Strongest Metro Area Economies" and Little Rock, AR ranked # 4 on the list.
The headquarters of Green Blue Environmental, Inc. is located in Little Rock and we are proud that our metro area finished just behind Oklahoma City (ranked 3rd) , Austin, TX (ranked 2nd) and San Antonio (which ranked 1st overall).
Little Rock finished ahead of the Dallas - Arlington - Fort Worth, TX Metroplex area which came in at 5th place on this list.
The Little Rock metro area has remained insulated from the effects of the recessionary economic climate due to a number of factors. Business Week cited the number of hospitals and healthcare related jobs in Little Rock as part of the rationale for staying relatively immune to the perils of the recession that has devastated other areas of the country.
Stephen Finnegan, President and CEO of Green Blue Environmental, Inc. and its parent company, Finnegan & Company, Inc. commented on the survey, "I am proud to be a small business owner in Little Rock and I am thrilled to learn of the recognition provided by Business Week in this recent survey ranking. It is great news for our companies and our community."
Business Week was founded in 1929 and has a current circulation of 986,000 and is based out of New York City. McGraw- Hill had owned the publication from its inception but recently it was announced that Bloomberg LP was acquiring the publication.
